Further in Summer than the Birds –
Pathetic from the Grass –
A minor Nation celebrates
It’s unobtrusive Mass.
No Ordinance be seen –
So gradual the Grace
A gentle Custom it becomes –
Enlarging Loneliness –
Antiquest felt at Noon –
When August burning low
Arise this spectral Canticle
Repose to typify –
Remit as yet no Grace –
No furrow on the Glow,
But a Druidic Difference
Enhances Nature now –
—Emily Dickinson, “Further in Summer than the Birds (895)”

The Library of Rudolf Steiner
Catalogue of a Book Collection (3 volumes)
Edited by Martina Maria Sam
READ MORE | CONTENTS
This three-volume set is the English translation of the original catalogue, published in 2019, detailing the entire contents of Rudolf Steiner’s personal library. The catalogue is the result of years of thorough and careful work by Dr. Martina Maria Sam of the Rudolf Steiner Archiv in Dornach, Switzerland, where the library is housed and kept fully intact in Haus Duldeck. It is introduced with a preface by David Marc Hoffman, leader of the Archiv. This is followed by a series of photographs of Haus Duldeck, of the library itself, and of Rudolf Steiner through the course of his life. In a substantial introduction, Dr. Sam describes Rudolf Steiner’s relation to books throughout the phases of his biography and recounts numerous valuable anecdotes; she then details the history of how his library developed, began to be catalogued and ordered according to various sections (History, Medicine, Philosophy and Psychology, etc.), and eventually arrived at the nuanced and differentiated form in which it exists today. Rudolf Steiner's Indications for Painting
Caroline Chanter
READ MORE | CONTENTS
This book offers insight into how Gerard Wagner developed his work on the basis of Rudolf Steiner’s indications for painting. Fundamental color experiments illustrate his methodical approach, while examples of his late work show the living, etheric quality he achieved in his watercolor painting. All of Rudolf Steiner’s training sketches for painters (pastel drawings and watercolors) are included in the book, as well as the first English translation of the summaries by Albert Steffen of Rudolf Steiner’s lectures on color. The One, Child of the Universe
Human Transformation through Cosmic Realities
Anna Lups, MD
READ MORE | CONTENTS
“This book when read and understood is a process of initiation—in the becoming. It encourages the reader to become aware—‘you are more than who you think you are.’ The most important thing to bring is your sense of humor, light, and curiosity, for that is the stimulus of imagination.” — Dr. Anna Lups
Dr. Anna Lups begins with a practical study of alchemical principles through her examination of a young child’s colorful drawings. As a Waldorf school physician, she began to realize that a “star child” had artistically conveyed a message worth investigating. Two decades later, she revisited those drawings and realized that this child had been able to convey his reservoir of past memories from deep consciousness. READ MORE

The Arts and Their Mission
8 lectures, Oslo and Dornach, May 18 – June 9, 1923 (CW 276)
READ MORE | CONTENTS
In these inspired lectures from 1923, Rudolf Steiner weaves the different art forms—painting, architecture, music, etc.—into a grand tapestry of human experience and expression. In the process, he reveals how each artistic medium contains its own mysteries: how architecture arises out of the soul’s need to transition from the spatial to the spiritual world after death; how the art of costuming arises from the soul’s pre-earthly experiences in the world of spirit and is thus an expression, in color and form, of the soul’s original nature; how sculpture emerges from an inner sense for the creative, formative forces of the etheric body; and how painting can overcome spatial perspective through a new relationship to the world of colors, through color perspective, etc.
This remarkable volume, packed with profound and far-reaching insights, bears within it the seeds for the renewal of the arts in our time. READ MORE
